KIN CORRUPTION are back with a vengeance, dropping their latest single titled “Slaves” on October 18th, 2024. This marks the band’s first new music since their acclaimed 2021 debut album, “KCHC”. Known for their aggressive sound and relentless energy, KIN CORRUPTION promises that “Slaves” is their heaviest, most aggressive track yet.
Formed in 2014, KIN CORRUPTION have built a reputation for their fierce energy and commanding presence, both in the studio and on stage. The band’s sound blends raw, forceful hardcore in the style of Hatebreed and Terror with a modern twist influenced by bands like Kublai Khan TX and Nasty, making them a household name in the Athenian hardcore scene.
With lineup changes throughout the years, including the pivotal addition of guitarist Dimitris T. and the recent addition of drummer Alex K., the band solidified its lineup and sound. Their energetic live shows and undeniable chemistry propelled them to prominence, sharing stages with legendary Hardcore acts like Agnostic Front, Bane, Lionheart, Backtrack, and Expire.
ABOUT THE NEW SINGLE “SLAVES”:
“Slaves” dives deep into the modern-day struggle, reflecting on how society has become enslaved by technology and social media. The lyrics address the dark reality of this lifestyle, the fading joy it brings, and the inevitable descent into isolation when satisfaction is not found. Vocalist Giannis B. describes it as a brutal reflection of the “new reality”, where people live through their smartphones, experiencing fleeting satisfaction before sinking into dark places when reality doesn’t match the virtual illusion.
"We’ve gone through some tough times and changes, but that’s only made us stronger. ‘Slaves’ is us hitting back hard, and it’s a warning shot to a world that’s drowning in distractions," says Dimitris T., guitarist.
The song was recorded, mixed, produced by Kostas Katsantonis at NoMaD Studios and mastered by John Mor Prods in Athens, Greece.
