On April 10th we got to witness Thy Art Is Murder's highly anticipated performance to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album “Hate”. The Australian deathcore band had an almost European sold-out tour with the great company of Fit for an Autopsy (US) and Heriot(UK).

Open act Heriot has stood out from other bands in the UK music scene with their distinct sound and captivating stage presence. The band comprises four members who each play instrumental roles in crafting their sonic identity. Unfortunately queuing to get in was a tad long nightmare that made it impossible to get inside on time to check them out.
Fit for an Autopsy came after a short break and didn’t disappoint this first-timer. Fit for an Autopsy is often cited as one of the most important deathcore bands of the past decade. They have been praised for their technical proficiency and songwriting ability, as well as their willingness to address important issues in their music. Despite their heavy sound, the band has a thoughtful and introspective approach to their art, which sets them apart from many other metal acts. Their most recent release was "Oh What The Future Holds" in 2022. They have gone through various lineup changes over the years, but the core members remain. The band's live shows are known for their intense energy and chaotic presence, gaining them a loyal fanbase.
The crowd was pumped up and ready for the headliners to take the stage as soon as their traditional pre-intro favourite Vengaboys song hit the speakers. Ironically, there is a sign at the entrance to the venue that says “no crowd surfing”; well not sure why the organisers even bothered, as the crowd got moving with the first song on the setlist, “Reign of Darkness”
Thy Art Is Murder played a mix of old and new songs, and each one was received with equal anticipation. Some of the highlights of the night included "Death Squad Anthem," "Human Target," and "Reign of Darkness." The band's performance was nothing short of spectacular. Their intense energy and brutal sound were matched only by the crowd's enthusiasm. The mosh pit was a sea of bodies, and the air was thick with sweat and adrenaline. The lighting and stage effects added to the overall atmosphere of the show, and the sound quality was excellent. The band members were enjoying themselves, and their chemistry was evident in their seamless performance.
Overall, Thy Art is Murder, Fit For An Autopsy, and Heriot delivered an outstanding performance that left the audience energised and fulfilled. Their metal music filled the Dome with an intense energy that elevated the entire experience, and the fans were thrilled to witness it all.
