Drain announce new album, drops new single

Hardcore trio DRAIN announce their highly anticipated sophomore album, "LIVING PROOF", out May 5th via Epitaph Records, available to pre-order HERE.

Produced by longtime friend and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Young (God's Hate, Suicide Silence) and mixed by John Markson (Drug Church, Koyo), this is an album for anyone looking for good, friendly hardcore fun.

Today, the band unveils the music video for lead single "Evil Finds Light," which adds a dash of lighthearted humor and playful energy to the song's thunderous breakdowns and guttural roar. Frontman Sammy Ciaramitaro comments:

"While DRAIN channels a disorderly chaos/party vibe through our live show, I'm actually more of a stress case haha." He continues: "I'm pretty hyper at times so I've tried to lyrically tap into those feelings and paint a picture of how I'm feeling and how the stress sometimes makes me see my world a little bit differently than it actually is. While the song is done, the stress management is still in progress."

"LIVING PROOF" injects a good deal of sympathy into hardcore with its penchant for heaviness and brutality - not to mention the catchiness. With a permanent grin on his face, singer Sammy Ciaramitaro rides snotty roars over thrashy riffs while the rhythms shake mightily. DRAIN isn't just a good time, with Sammy reigning over the chaos of staging bodies and mic-grabbing frontline; it's a party - and everyone's invited.

"I hope listening to this record gives someone hope," beams Ciaramitaro. "This is the soundtrack of perseverance and people overcoming the naysayers in their world and in themselves. I can't wait to play these songs and hear a room full of people singing back to us. We are what the title says: the living proof."
