Live Coverage || Parkway Drive @ Velodrom, Berlin (20/9/2022)

On the 20th of September I was able to see Parkway Drive in Velodrom, Berlin on their headlining tour to promote their new album "Darker Still". I was super exited when they announced this tour not only because I love PWD, but also because While She Sleeps and Lorna Shore are also on the list. I have seen WSS a bunch of times in the last couple of years but Lorna Shore only once when Tom Barber was still a member of the band.

The night started off with the Deathcore band. I personally only like this genre occasionally, but when I do listen to it Lorna Shore are most definitely on the playlist. Hearing "To the Hellfire" live was an experience, I'll tell you that. Will Ramos' vocals are truly insane and I liked the whole dynamic on stage.

While She Sleeps went on next. They have put a great setlist together for this tour which I really liked even thoθγη they aren't really playing "old" songs anymore (especially as support on a tour). They played songs like "I'VE SEEN IT ALL" or "You Are We" and took over the crowd by storm. Germans love WSS and it showed.

Then it was time for Parkway Drive. They put together a show with lots of cool fire effects and everything seemed to be perfectly curated. Just like the setlist. New songs ("Glitch"), old songs ("Cemetery Bloom") and really old songs ("Carrion"). I noticed that a lot of people in the crowd were singing along during the new songs, which I think is always a great sign after an album release. I'm also a big fan of Winston McCall and it was so good to listen to him sing again.

All in all I had a really great time there with all the bands and I hope they all come back to Berlin soon!
