California rock band Thrice have released their latest single "Open Your Eyes and Dream" through Epitaph Records. You can listen to the song here.
"It's so easy to believe that big systemic issues can't change because we've lived with them our whole lives. But if you look back and zoom out a bit, it's easy to see that this sense of continuity and inevitability is just is an illusion. Most things seem impossible until they happen. This song is about opening our eyes to that reality and being willing to dream of something better", explains singer Dustin Kensrue.
The new single will follow the release of Horizons/East in September 2021. Instilling a palpable sense of danger, determination and possibility, the album exemplifies art as a work of knowledge - the human task of finding oneself amidst details, catastrophes and blessings as perceiving one inexorably connected phenomenon among others. In that respect, Horizons/East is the rare rock album where togetherness is a theme. Mixing by Scott Evans, the album paints an adventurous and lush landscape and was self-produced and recorded by the band at their own New Grass studio. Thrice will embark on their co-headlining tour of the EU and UK alongside Coheed and Cambria next month. Touché Amoré will support them throughout the tour. The bands can be seen in Germany on the following dates:
