HIPPIE TRIM returns with new single

HIPPIE TRIM are back after a break of more than two years. With "Pain Ball", the band presents a rocky, catchy single and thus opens the cooperation with the newly founded label Supervillain. A colorful video clip appears to match.

Though the past few months have been tough for everyone, Pain Ball shows that true friendship will always prevail. Bassist and lyricist Lukas Andrzejewski comments on the background of the latest output as follows:

“The world we live in is extremely fast-moving and, unfortunately, stops at nothing. We lose sight of many things in our everyday lives that sadly seem almost normal these days. A few people don't, though, and I'm incredibly grateful for that. 'Pain Ball' is an ode to friendship.”

While the single was once again produced in Frankfurt, the band worked with Americans Jon Markson (DRUG CHURCH, SUCH GOLD, CAN'T SWIM) and Adam Cichocki (FREE THROW, GATHERERS, LIKE PACIFIC) for mixing and mastering for the first time.

HIPPIE TRIM started 2019 on the scene with a bang; with only one released single to date, the quintet sold out their first show weeks in advance, followed immediately by accompanying the US post-punks DRUG CHURCH on their Germany dates, got hold of several well-known playlist placements and presented in November of the same year with "Cult" a debut album that proved that heaviness and melody by no means have to be mutually exclusive. With playful riffs, which are alternately accompanied by brute but also dreamy vocals, the formation from the Rhine-Ruhr area convinces music critics, who predict a rosy future for the band and the style mix of hardcore, punk, dream pop, emo and grunge as a uniquely identify in the local sound landscape.

HIPPIE TRIM are:
