The show kicked off with Japanese metalcore band Crystal Lake from Tokyo and even though I sadly missed the first half of their set, the show was absolutely phenomenal. I didn’t even know they were THAT popular in Germany but their fans proved me wrong. Great way to start the night. Next up were heavy metal band Cane Hill from New Orleans, Louisiana. I was really exited to see them live for the first time and their Slipknot, Marilyn Manson vibes definitely did not disappoint. I was also mesmerised by one of their guitarists, his name is Elijah James Barnett, such a good player with amazing background screams. 36Crazyfists from Alaska followed soon afterwards. Their hard emotional sound between nu metal and metalcore really got the fans going and prepared them well for the band of the night, Bury Tomorrow.
Before I talk about the show I want to take a second to appreciate the whole band. They’re such kind hearted people that genuinely care about their fans and make them feel loved. They always take the time to meet fans after every single show and I’m sure it means a lot to some fans. Anyways, back to the show. They started off with a new one called “No Less Violent” and continued with an oldie, “Earthbound”. A great set with a lot of variety. There was so much energy in the room and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this many crowd surfers ever in my life. The room was heating up in seconds but no one seemed to care. I love going to Bury Tomorrow shows, they always make me feel save and at home. I can’t wait to see what they have planed for 2019.
