Dream State started the night by showing the 1200 people in the venue what was once a small UK underground band is now capable of. They played a fantastic set, grabbed people's attention and are certain to carry on climbing up the ladder of success. Next up were Endless Heights who, although played a beautiful set, seemed somewhat out of place amongst the heavier bands on the bill. Their melancholic masterpieces where certainly talked about between the crowd. By the time it came to the main support act of the night, The Plot In You, the energy of the fans was electric and the whole room screamed along to the lyrics of their hit song “Feel Nothing”. But ironically, the feeling of Leipzig screaming the words made me feel alive. Then, the moment everyone was waiting for... The Amity Affliction came on stage. They started their set with the fan favourite “Ivy (Doomsday)” from their latest album, "Misery". The aggressive contrast between Joel Birch's screams and Ahren Stringer's clean vocals played out in perfect equilibrium. Australia is definitely known for their great metalcore bands and The Amity Affliction certainly made their country proud that night.
